Playway
The first year of school life. Sitting in a circle, holding a crayon, saying a name out loud — small things that make everything after them possible.
One school, one continuous journey — from a child's very first day in Playway right through to Class 8. English medium, activity-based, and small enough that every teacher knows every child by name.
We opened in 2014 to serve the families of Sadatpur and Karawal Nagar — parents who wanted a proper English-medium education close enough to walk to, taught by people they could actually talk to.
That is still what we are. Children arrive at three, unsure and holding a parent's hand, and leave at fourteen able to stand in front of a hall and speak. Everything in between — the reading practice, the maths drills, the sports day, the annual function — exists to make that happen.
Most families in this area change schools two or three times before Class 8. Here, a child moves through all four stages under the same roof, with teachers who already know their history.
The first year of school life. Sitting in a circle, holding a crayon, saying a name out loud — small things that make everything after them possible.
Nursery, LKG and UKG. Letters, numbers, rhymes and colours through play, with the classroom routine slowly taking shape.
Reading fluency, written work, mental maths and the first real exams. This is where study habits are built and monitored closely.
Subject teachers, longer papers and independent work — preparing students to walk into Class 9 anywhere without falling behind.
Teachers here know which child struggles with subtraction and which one needs pushing to speak up. That is not a policy — it is a consequence of size.
Activity-based teaching means a child comes home able to show you what they did — a drawing, a rhyme, a maths trick — not just a full notebook.
Running since 2014 under Ayush Education Trust, registered with the Government of Delhi. Parents can find us at the same gate every morning.
Every topic runs through the same four steps, whether it is a Playway rhyme or a Class 8 science chapter. The order matters — children understand a thing before they are asked to repeat it.
The teacher introduces the concept simply, in language the class already uses.
Students handle it themselves — objects, examples, questions, and plenty of "why".
They make something with it: a drawing, a model, a story, a worked-out problem.
Practice, correction and revision until the child can do it without being watched.
Sports day on the open ground. The annual function stage. A drawing competition, a trip, a picnic lunch on the grass with friends. These are not extras — they are where confidence gets built.
The school runs from its own building in Bhagat Vihar, Sadatpur Extension — classrooms on every floor, an activity area for the little ones, and a gate that is watched all day.
Ventilated, well-lit rooms with age-appropriate seating and display boards.
A dedicated space for Playway and early-years play, craft and floor work.
Clean drinking water available to every class through the school day.
A supervised gate, monitored entry and staff on every floor during school hours.
We list only what the school actually has today. For transport, labs and library access, please ask at the office — we will tell you exactly what is available for your child's class.
Conceptual understanding first, marks second — because one produces the other and not the reverse.
Games, sports, yoga and open-ground time, so children move as much as they sit.
Art, craft, music, dance and drawing — space to make something nobody assigned.
Working in groups, sharing a lunch box, waiting for a turn, standing up for a friend.
Speaking clearly, listening properly, keeping time and finishing what was started.
Honesty, discipline, empathy and responsibility, taught by example more than by lecture.
My daughter joined in Playway and is now in Class 3. What I value most is that the teachers know her by name and tell me exactly where she needs help.
She cried for the first three days and then started asking to go to school on Sunday. That says everything about how the little ones are handled here.
The school is close to home, the fee is reasonable, and my son has become far more confident about speaking in front of people since he joined.
Admissions are open from Playway to Class 8 for the current session. Send an enquiry and we will call you back the same working day with fee details and available seats.
Parents are welcome to walk in during school hours. No appointment is needed, though a quick call helps us keep someone free to show you around.
